I came home and flipped my calendar and the ironic thing is we stayed at the Ballynahinch Castle Hotel in Ireland. It was known for it's world class fly fishing. I don't know how to fly fish but I would love to try. It's a beautiful art form and I'm sure it's very hard. But this is how I want to fly fish! I didn't see any cowgirls in Ireland. "This photo features Annie Belden taken by her husband and well-known Rocky mountain photographer, Charles Belden on the Pitchfork Ranch in Cody, Wyoming, circa 1935. The picture captures a Wyoming cowgirl's dream of fly-fishing with her pony in a wild mountain stream. Flood Collection." JUST LOOK at where she is standing! The boots! I could look at this photo all day, now this is a real super model if you ask me.

And what a good horse to stand there in that stream while she fishes! Love it.

What a great pic! I'm such a klutz, if I tried that, I would end up down river!

Why would anyone want to fish for flies, and what makes you think they would be easier to catch in a stream?

That is a really cool photo Marjorie! Looks like you need to give your husband needs to get out a bit more! :)

When I was small, we lived in Casper, Wyoming. I still have dreams about the landscape. Thanks for sharing this!

She is my kindred sister from long ago. I think I have fished on that rock.
