I like to think I'm a pretty healthy person. Oh I have my issues, trust me and I have my vices. I ate a TON of chocolate cake the other day, well it was National Chocolate Cake day. Then I sooooo wanted a Happy Meal but I drove by, sigh. However, I have been trying to pay attention to eating more fiber. I thought for sure we were getting plenty, you know an apple, some spinach, granola, nuts. Women my age (young whipper snapper 40's) should be getting 25-30grams a day. THAT'S A LOT! Hell I should just go dine with the sheep and llama. I DON'T love cereal. Chocolate cake is my first choice for breakfast then maybe a scambled egg and a cup of coffee. So Hubby and I started eating more cereal and really like the All Bran, it's pretty safe, low in salt, sugar and lot's of fiber and taste like sheep feed. WELL I thought I'd mix it up a bit and bought this FIBER ONE. HOLY CRAP! Literally! NOT GOOD. I looked at the ingredients again, Contains; PHENYLALANINE I'm not going to go into ANY details but I don't want my cereal containing that stuff. It is aspartame. It does weird things to me. You? Besides the fact I could of flown around the room backwards is another story. I was going to toss it all to the chickens but decided not to. I don't want my girls eating that stuff either. So I'm sticking to Grape-nuts and All-bran and oatmeal and pumping up the veggies. That works. EAT YOUR FIBER TODAY! But not that stuff.
